Principal’s Welcome

Welcome to Hallett Cove East Primary School.

Located in Adelaide’s southern suburbs, our primary school is unique, with all classrooms in 9 suburban style houses, giving our school a homely feel. We have modern facilities, a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment and strong community focus.

We are dedicated to fostering an environment where every learner can thrive and achieve their best, now and in the future. We prioritise student agency and involve our students in decision-making related to their learning and school experiences.

We value working together with families to support student learning, success and wellbeing. Parents and carers are important to our school community and we value productive and positive relationships.

Our school offers:

• A whole school, engaging and high-quality teaching and learning focus on Literacy, Numeracy and Wellbeing
• Daily opportunities for students and staff to express Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness through our classroom learning on The Resilience Project.

• Specialist subjects including Japanese, PE, Science and The Performing Arts. Our school embraces the Festival of Music as an exciting opportunity for our students to shine.
• Individual academic support for children to help reach their full potential.

• A wide range of play facilities, including a large oval, indoor pavilion, covered outdoor learning areas, three playgrounds and spacious play areas

• Special programs and events including SAPSASA sport, Harmony Day, Bookweek, festivities, Japanese festival celebrations and Swimming and Aquatics. We host a very popular end of year school concert which is well supported by our community and student performances are of a high quality.
• Student leadership opportunities to develop confidence and a sense of responsibility. We are very proud of our student leadership program where students work closely with teachers on an area of interest for the school as well our schoolwide buddy program where older and younger classes work together.
